Therapy can be a life-altering process as you gain new insights, shift how you perceive and deal with difficult emotions and situations, clarify what you want to create in your life, and take steps to manifest your goals. Dr. Littlewood’s conceptual framework in working with clients and couples in distress draws from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectic behavior therapy (DBT), and emotion-focused therapy (EFT). Each of these school of thought in psychology emphasize the contextual, interpersonal, and emotional influences on an individuals ability to regulate their emotions and behaviors to experience a sense of safety, stability, and contentment.
Dr. Littlewood also offers psychotherapy focusing on topics related to reproductive health. Reproductive health experiences are powerful and momentous in a woman’s life. Dr. Littlewood works with women in navigating and integrating experiences involved in preconception, pregnancy, pregnancy loss, infertility, postpartum, and motherhood. From a perspective that our thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences are connected in meaningful ways, you will be supported to develop knowledge and tools to manage the emotional ups and downs inherent to this path, develop self-compassion and healthy behaviors that support your goals, and ultimately to trust in your self and build a life you love.
